Two separate tragic incidents claimed lives in Goa, with one death reported due to electrocution in Bicholim and another in a fatal hit-and-run accident at Borim.

In the first incident, a tragic accident was reported from Mavalinge in Bicholim, where Akshat Naik (20), a resident of Lamgao, lost his life while carrying out house wiring work. He had initially died under suspicious circumstances, with preliminary indications pointing towards electrocution. Officials have now confirmed that the post-mortem examination established electrocution as the cause of death.

In the second incident, a container truck allegedly rammed into a two-wheeler at Borim and fled the scene, leaving the rider dead on the spot. The deceased was identified as Nitin Vaikunth Gaude (32), a resident of Madkai.

Police launched a search operation immediately after the hit-and-run and later succeeded in tracing and nabbing the vehicle involved. Further investigations into both incidents are underway.
