The Konkani Bhasha Mandal has announced its new committee for the 2026–2029 term. Senior Konkani activist Serafin Cota has been elected as the President, alongside Ratnamal Divkar as the Vice President. Mangaldas Bhut has taken charge as the General Secretary, while Purshottam Verlekar will serve as the treasurer. The announcement was made during Konkani Bhasha Mandal meeting. The new committee also includes Prachi Prabhavalkar and Pramod Surlikar as Joint Secretaries.
The Central Committee members are Zuze Noronha, Vallabh Barve, Shalaka Dessai, Uday Gude, Shvetank Naik, Francis Fernandes, Prasad Pagi, and Gaurang Bhandiye. Paresh Chari has been selected as a co-opted member, and Konkani writer and teacher Anil Pai served as the election officer for the process.
Regional representatives were also chosen for each taluka. These include Abhijit Pagi for Canacona, Akash Gaonkar for Quepem, Jagannath Gurav for Sanguem, Suvidha Nayak for Ponda, Velanki Pednekar for Pernem, Sanath Bharne for Tiswadi, Palash Agni for Salcete, Pravin Sawant for Bicholim, Sarika Naik for Sattari, Prasad Pangam for Dharbandora, Prachi Prabhavalkar for Bardez, and Pramod Surlikar for Mormugao.
