The Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ) on Saturday elected 10 members to its Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 term during its Annual General Meeting and elections held at the GUJ office in Panaji. Rajtilak Naik, Assistant Photo Editor with the Goa edition of The Times of India, was formally declared elected unopposed as President for a record fourth consecutive term. A total of 151 voters out of 219 eligible voters exercised their franchise, for a voting percentage of 68.94. Two votes were declared invalid. Ten members of the GUJ executive committee were elected as follows: 1. Kishor Keshav Naik Gaonkar 119 votes 2. Sagun Gawade 112 votes 3. Gauree Malkarnekar 106 votes 4. Sandeep Desai 106 votes 5. Vasudev B Pagi 101 votes 6. Upendra Naik 100 votes 7. William Patrick Rodrigues 83 votes 8. Ashley Do Rosario 80 votes 9. Sameer Ashok Naik 80 votes 10. Ajay Lad 79 votes Other candidates polled the following number of votes and were declared unsuccessful 1. Swapnil Tari 78 votes 2. Narayan Pissurlenkar 66 votes 3. Krantiraj Samrat 63 votes 4. Roque Dias 57 votes 5. Anil Sanadi 37 votes 6. Sandip V Tuenkar 27 votes Returning Officer Jamaluddin Shaikh thanked the GUJ executive committee for organising the elections in an organised manner and all GUJ members who provided help in conducting the election and the counting process, which included Pramod Thakur Omkar Falari and Diana Fernandes.
