"The government needs to take strict action against drunk driving," demanded Calangute MLA Michael Lobo. Members of the Tourist Taxi Association and All Goa Private Bus Owners' Association leader, Sudip Tamhankar, along with MLA Lobo, expressed deep concern over the chaos caused by recent drunk driving road accidents.

In light of this, a formal representation letter was submitted to the Goa Police SP, requesting that law enforcement take strict action against anyone caught driving under the influence. MLA Lobo emphasized that tourists visiting Goa must be made aware of the strict laws and should refrain from driving after drinking. He stated that without setting an example through strict punishment, change is unlikely to happen.

Furthermore, Sudip Tamhankar questioned the current situation and urged authorities to find a solution as quickly as possible.
