Police have uncovered a fresh angle in the Sukur murder case, stating that a dispute over a stolen gold bracelet may have led to the murder of Anand Patil.

According to police sources, Anand Patil had allegedly stolen a gold bracelet belonging to Saurabh Narulkar in January. The theft was reportedly witnessed by one of Saurabh's friends. Following a police inquiry, the bracelet was recovered. However, Saurabh allegedly requested the police not to register an FIR in the matter.

Police believe the bracelet theft triggered a fallout between the two, with frequent arguments taking place thereafter. Investigators suspect the lingering animosity eventually culminated in the murder of Anand Patil.
