A youth from Goa has been booked by Dodamarg Police in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district after allegedly attempting to attack a local resident with a knife following an argument outside an under-construction building. The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area.
According to police sources, the incident occurred when the youth parked his tinted car outside the building along with a woman accompanying him. While the woman reportedly entered the building premises, a local resident questioned the couple over their presence, leading to a heated verbal exchange.
Police sources said that the argument soon escalated, following which the Goa youth allegedly went to his car, took out a knife and attempted to assault the local resident. The local man managed to flee from the spot, narrowly escaping the attack.
The alleged attack and the sequence of events were captured on CCTV footage, which has since come under the scrutiny of the investigating authorities.
Dodamarg Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an investigation. Further details, including the identity of the accused and the exact circumstances leading to the confrontation, are being verified.
