A tragic incident came to light in Mapusa on Saturday after a man and his 6-year-old son were found dead inside a rented room, while a woman from the same family was discovered in critical condition.

The woman was immediately shifted to the hospital for urgent medical treatment, where she is currently undergoing care.

According to preliminary information, the family is reportedly from Sawantwadi, Maharashtra, and had been residing in the rented accommodation in Mapusa.

Mapusa Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
