3-Year-Old Electrocuted At Mangoor Hill

A three-year-old boy died of electrocution at Mangoor Hill after allegedly coming into contact with a live wire attached to a metal shed nea

A three-year-old boy died after suffering an electric shock at Mangoor Hill on Friday afternoon after allegedly coming into contact with a live wire attached to a metal shed near his house.

According to Vasco police, the child was playing beneath a shed at his residence when he accidentally touched a live electric wire that had become entangled with the metal structure. He received a severe electric shock and collapsed unconscious on the spot.

Family members immediately rushed him to Sub-District Hospital, Chicalim, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Following information received from the hospital at 3.41 pm, Vasco police visited the hospital and recorded the statement of the deceased’s father. An inquest panchanama was conducted, and the body was later preserved at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for further formalities.

Vasco police have registered a case of unnatural death and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
